ANNUAL REGISTRATION FEE:

  • Annual registration fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.
  • $35/student

TUITION:

1st month’s tuition, or 1st semester tuition is due along with registration fee.  If you choose to pay tuition on a monthly basis, it will be DUE ON THE 1ST OF EACH MONTH.  Tuition is the same each month for the first semester (August – December), and will be the same each month for the second semester (January – May).  Monthly tuition may change from semester to semester based on the number of classes a student takes. Without exception, there is no prorating.

We encourage everyone on the monthly plan to be on automatic draft (credit or debit card) and will be billed between the 1st-5th of each month. Other payment options include cash, check, or credit card. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A BILL! A $20 late fee will be charged if payment is made after the 6th of a given month. A fee of $25 will be charged for any returned check. After two returned checks by the same customer, we will accept only cash or credit card.  We request that each set of parents has a credit card on file that will be charged (tuition and late fee) on the 7th of the given month if payment has not been received in some other form.  By the 15th of the month, if payment and late fees have still not been submitted, the student will not be admitted to class.

TERMINATION PROCEDURES:

A written notice within 30 days of a student terminating his/her annual contract is required.  If no notice is received, you will still be charged your monthly tuition along with the $20 late fee until we are notified.  A $30 termination fee is due along with the written notice if a student terminates his/her contract after December 1, 2009.

QUESTIONS & CONCERNS:

If you have questions or concerns, the following steps should be taken in order:
  1. Check the website (www.allaboutpulse.com) for updates and general information.
  2. Check the message board located inside the studio for updates and general information.
  3. Email Kym Munier ( spa@allaboutpulse.com ), our student/parent advisor, to ask questions or set up an appointment to discuss matters.

REFUNDS:

No refunds will be given when classes are missed for any reason, including inclement weather (closings will coincide with Gwinnett County). As is the case for any missed class, a makeup schedule will be provided. Classes must be made up within a month from the date missed. Please see the front desk secretary to fill out a makeup card before entering a makeup class.  Private lessons will be made up if the teacher cancels.  If a student misses because of illness and has a note from a parent to that effect, a makeup can be scheduled.  Any other absence from a private lesson will not be made up, nor will it be discounted.

RULES & PROCEDURES:
***All students under 13 must be picked up by a parent or an adult INSIDE the Pulse building.  Do not have your child come down the stairs or elevators by themselves!  Children 13 and up may use the stairs and elevators by themselves, but do not linger in the lobby areas, other retail stores, or in the parking lot.***

  • Food and drinks must be kept in the "Student Center."
  • Name should be put in or on all students' personal belongings.
  • Though it is not our intention, teachers may change without notice.
  • Be sure to use the restroom before or after class - not during.
  • Viewing windows will be open during the first week of each month - otherwise there is no viewing.
  • Please watch your children when they are not in a class - they need to stay quiet and should not be running around the studio.
  • Please remind your children to respect the fact that there are music lessons in progress that require concentration and quiet - there should not be inordinate noise in the hallways or in the student center at any time.
  • Pick up your children as soon as their last class is released. We will have to charge a babysitting fee if it becomes a problem.
  • Please don't attempt to engage any teacher in a discussion during studio hours.  Kym Munier, our student/parent advisor, will be happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have or set up an appointment to do so.
  • Pulse PAC teachers have the right to move a student to a lower or higher level class, or a different class (of course this will be discussed with the parent before doing so).

ATTENDANCE:

Please make every effort to have your child at the studio at least 5 minutes prior to class time. Walking in late disturbs class concentration and does not allow ample time for warm-up. If a student is 5 minutes late to class, he/she must apologize to the teacher.  The student will then be instructed by the teacher what to do (possibly sitting and watching). No refund will be granted for the missed class. As always, a makeup schedule will be available. Any student who misses three or more classes during a semester, will be evaluated by the teacher on whether that student may participate in a given concert. Furthermore, all classes and rehearsals that occur during the three weeks before a given concert must be attended.

MATERIALS/LEARNING TOOLS FOR MUSIC CLASSES:
Be prepared to purchase materials that are required by your teacher, and bring them with you to your lesson every week.  These materials may include pencils, paper, folders, CD tracks, sheet music, a metronome, or any other necessary tools for learning.
